~WINDS~

I have died. You live alone with woe.
Now stormwinds, keening and repining,
Rock house and pine trees to and fro~
Not tree by tree, but at one blow
All groves together intertwining
with the illimitiable space.
Thus sailboats sheltered at their base
are rocked by winds along a bay.
But not in senseless agitation
The stormwind rages day by day:
Alone of grief its lamentation
and for you its lullaby of desolation.

~This is Zhivago's affirmation of life:
The thread of hope that does not die
even though we are trapped in life as it
is and not as it should be
Martha lives on in us~

Sail on Silver Girl

Amanda Lee Miller and her brother, Dominick Logan Cornelius

These two sweet babies should have had a life full of the
wonderment and joys of childhood.
I will cry for the rest of my life that their own mother took their lives.
I pray that when they return to this earth, they will have
wonderful loving parents. God knows they deserve it.

Rest peacefully sweet babies.

In Loving Memory

Rex Augustine and Ross Higuchi

Rex and Ross were dear friends who were killed in broad daylight by a drunk driver who walked away practically unscathed.

Two year old Corey James Edkin and 10-year-old Joline Faye Witt are children who lived just a few miles apart in central Pennsylvania. Both children were found missing from their beds by their Mothers. Just before their terrifying discoveries, both Mothers were alerted by doors in their homes that had been left open. At the time of these apparent abductions, several other people were present in the homes, and the parents of both children were experiencing domestic problems and were separated. Corey and Joline both went missing in the early morning hours on a Sunday, but despite these and other similarities, the dates were almost 11 years apart. Corey has been missing since Sunday, October 12, 1986 and has never been found. Joline disappeared on Sunday, July 27, 1997 but her body was found in a wooded area six weeks later on September 6, 1997 the victim of a homicide.

Corey Edkin's family still has hope that he will be found. Joline Witt's murder was investigated by a Grand Jury who finished its investigation in September, 1999. The recomendation of the Grand Jury and the result of their investigation has not been made public.

We pray for the families and a solution in both of these tragic cases.

Murder Grief
By Susan G. Matson (7/21/97)

Murder grief leaves scars on those left to survive
It warps the strongest spirits and twists so many lives

Murder grief is harder than other grief to bear
Because it's done by evil and the devil doesn't care

Murder grief continues to tear apart your heart
It stomps upon your feelings and breaks your life apart

Murder grief makes friendships harder to keep alive
People now avoid you as you struggle to survive

Murder grief isn't pretty....it's black, cold and grey
As it hovers overhead, it refuses to go away

Murder grief engulfs you as it drowns you in its pain
It snares the strongest persons into feeling they're insane

Murder grief is destructive as it descends upon your mind
You must confront it boldly and to yourself be kind

Murder grief is controllable if your faith in God stays strong
He'll give you strength to face it and the courage to live on....

(Susan's Mother, Gertrude Bestor, was Murdered 2/19/95)
